Sarah is a New York based makeup artist and member of IATSE Local 798, Union for makeup and hair artists.
Recent projects include: Department Head and designer for A24’s 2023 Oscar nominee Past Lives, 2022’s slasher film Bodies Bodies Bodies, 2023’s Reality (HBO) , as well summer release ‘It Ends With Us’, based on Colleen Hoover’s best-selling book. Future releases include A24’s film A Different Man, and The History of Sound, (2025 release). She ran the makeup department for all seasons of HBO's acclaimed series High Maintenance, beginning her leap from the beauty industry to television and film, working with the show when it began as a cult web-series.
Last year she keyed Dr. Death S2 (Hulu) and No Hard Feelings (Sony Pictures), in addition to Harlem (Amazon) and Ramy (Hulu) Her client-work has appeared in: Bon Appétit, Nylon, NYTimes, Conde Nast’s Traveler, Cosmopolitan, New York Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, People Magazine, Fader, NY Post, Food & Wine, Rolling Stone, ESPN Magazine, Birchbox, and Penguin Group, among others
She writes about beauty, focusing her interviews and essays on how we express our public and private personas using makeup, exploring how beauty rituals help many navigate life, aging, and society.
